Dua Lipa is a English musician and singer born August 22, 1995 at London United Kingdom. The singer-songwriter signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model and launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. It peaked in at the number three spot at the top of the U.K. album chart, and included eight songs, which included the U.K. top-ten single New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa is the recipient of Brit Awards 2018 for the categories of British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Dua Lipa was born in London on August 22 1995. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Through her maternal grandparent Dua Lipa, she is Bosnian. Her family tree can be traced back to the Kosovo city of Peja. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. She is a sister to Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was heavily influenced by her father who also serves as the lead guitar player and the singer of The Kosovan band Oda. Her musical influences were derived from her father's music, which included his compositions as well as songs by artists like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of was five years old. At the age of nineteen, she started singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa covered Beautiful by Christina Aguilera as well as If I Ain't got You from Alicia Keys on YouTube. Lipa signed her first record agreement in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
